CoolCat6
So I was in the Cheydinhal Bridge Inn when suddenly Ohtimbar, a Fighters Guild member, went into sneak mode over to a table and stole some food off of it. What the hell?! The Inn owner yelled at him for stealing but Ohtimbar did nothing and went over to another table to eat his stolen food. A guard soon came in and ran up to Ohtimbar but did nothing and left. I reloaded a recent save and replaced the food on the plate with a poisoned apple and watched as he ate it and died... What is going on here?!

wayne0188
haha... I'd say that it is an easter egg, bethesta must have put scripting into npc ai to make them do thing out of the ordinary like steal and kill... (I've seen a random npc go nuts and attack guards for no reason, and he had nothing to do with the mythic dawn)
Abramul
From http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.../ResponsibilityIf responsibility is set below 30, the actor will steal if their AI package requires an item (i.e. the actor has an eat package but no food). The specific instance may have been intentional, or may have been an error made when creating that character. Of course, it also may have been scripted. dangle
i liked how the first thing you thought to try to test this situation was to poison that sucker. haha
Stokes52
Haha, my fence for the thieves guild always does that . By the way, do you guys ever get random people suddenly turning into Mythic Dawn and attacking guards? I was walking through the Imperial City one day when two peasants donned their Mythic Dawn armor and started killing people before they got owned by the Guards. Then, everyone walked away like nothing happend... Except for the two bodies lying there for days ;D This happened to me once in another city too! haha. Rhydderch Hael
Recently my character was loitering in Castle Cheydinhal early one morning when I noticed a Thieves' Guild member from the Imperial City near the door to the Private Quarters. I knew that the guy was trying to get in, but couldn't get past the locked door. I snuck a lockpick onto his person, and then he made his way through. Randomcake
I had the same thing happen to me, except it was a beggar in the Imp City, she actually stole from the guards, used their keys to enter the tower and proceeded to steal everything, without being caught o_O ! CoolCat6
By the way, do you guys ever get random people suddenly turning into Mythic Dawn and attacking guards? They are Mythic Dawn members who attack you on sight after you have got through a certain point in the main quest. I usually murder them before I even start the main quest to get into the Dark Brotherhood haha. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Mythic_Dawn
