also, i have just got the newish master fix mod, with eve consolidated, is that right in my load order? ive never used it before, so i thought i should check with the pro's!

 

also also, should i be adding iNUMHWThreads=2 to the fallout.ini, i have a dual core CPU

 

also also also, should i change the inumhavokthreads=1 to 2, in the ini, same goes for the threaded lines, should they be changed from 0 to 1, i hear you should only chnage threadedAI

Yes, the load order is correct, but you should never make a bashed patch / merged patch which includes the Master Fix mod and it's patches.

oh rly? do you know about the .ini tweaks, cause i still get the odd CTD

Odd CTD? That's very little info. Is there some specific event that triggers it? It doesn't necessarily needs to be the .ini which makes your game crash. There are many things that can cause FO3 to CTD. :psyduck:

Well, I have a Quad core so I'm unsure if it also applies to dual cores, but I have it in my .ini

Don't have it in my .ini. Probably unneeded.

 

By the way: You could also try out this one: FALLOUT INI EXTENDED as a starting point.

Well, if it doesn't happens too often it's, well, fairly normal actually.

Nevertheless you could try running Fo3 edit in masterupdate mode to see if it helps reduce ctd's a bit.

You can read how to do this in the documentation provided with the Eve consolidated "mod".

 

Another "trick" you can try is opening the console and typing "PCB" (purge cell buffers) before you make a cell transition.

You'll have to ask that to someone who uses wrye bash. I don't. Doesn't sounds good though. Might be that it causes a conflict.
