Can anyone do it?

I want PowerAttack Voice Mod, but i read this comment author:

"Solution: Although it is possible to fix this, it requires someone with a localized version of Oblivion to redo most of the work. I do not have access to localized versions so I will not be able to do this.

This basically means that someone with a Spanish version of the game has to extract all the appropriate voice files from the voices bsa files and then sort and name them correctly. That's just to get the voices to work. Then you'd still have to translate all the dialogue entries in the esp as well as some other minor stuff.

In any case, it's not an issue I can solve since I do not own a Spanish/German/French version of Oblivion and I'm not going to buy one either.

Sorry, but unless someone decides to have a go at translating the modification I'm afraid you can't use this mod. "

Im Italian and play with Italian Oblivion, Someone can pull all the items referred to by the author?

Who will do it I would be very grateful.

So basically, you want an Italian version of PowerAttack Voice Mod is that right?

The mod will need to be translated by someone who speaks both English and Italian AND has the Italian version of Oblivion AND and has some familiarity with voiced dialogue in Oblivion. The number of modders who fit all three criteria is probably very small.

If you know of any Italian Oblivion websites, it might be a better bet to ask there. I imagine that one of the top requests at such sites would be to translate various English mods into Italian.

Good luck with it. :)

Thank you for reply.

However I do not know any Italian site of Oblivion, yesterday I found this mod translated into Italian, after downloaded and put the appropriate files, start the game and I try but my character remains mute and you see only the phrases.

What do you recommend? Modders find some Italian that I would do this?

Sry for my english. :(

If you'll notice as you can see the phrases, but the character does not talk is dumb.

But it's strange that this mod works only in English version, because i have other Mods that concerned the character voices, work correctly.

And then I open the console tells me that "PowerAttack VoiceMod Initialized", but does not work.

However, you can give me a quick explanation of the passage as the author of the mod said "Find, sort and name" how to make?

Files Dell'estrarazioni know, just use OBMM delegate entries Oblivion Voices1 and 2, but I did not understand what he means "Order and Naming."

Well, if you can live with the actual voices still being in English and the display messages as well, the only thing left to do would be fixing folder names, if I'm not mistaken.

Different language versions of the game have different folder names for the specific races inside the "sound/voice/XXX/" folders (XXX being the plugin/masterfile the voices are coming from, default "Oblivion.esm" for example). For example in the German version (I'm only guessing but I think I read it is that way) it's "Kaiserlicher" for "Imperial" or "Argonier" for "Argonian".

Now the BSA coming with this mod contains all voice files required but of course in the fitting folders for an English version of the game.

All that needs to be done should be making it so the folder names mirror the Italian version now.

For this you need to know the Italian foldernames for the races found inside "sound/voice/Oblivion.esm". You can read them up with the BSA Browser from OBMM or similar software. Once you know these you can unpack the BSA from this mod and rename the English races accordingly into their Italian counterparts. That should make it work already. If you then package them into a BSA again or not shouldn't matter, as long as the folders and files all are at the proper location inside your data folder (inside "sound/voice" or what it's called and then the name of this mods' plugin).

If it doesn't, then maybe there's also some changes in the ESP itself necessary. I'll have a closer look later or when you call back it still didn't work after doing the above steps of renaming the folders.

Hopefully I'll find some time to do it then and wasn't only making false promises now.

Thank you that you answered me.

I did as you said the files, I'll explain the process so you can see if I have done wrong:

Priam then I extracted all the files in this mod that is "PowerAttack Voice" and "Shivering Isles PowerAttack" to a temporary folder.

And I came out "sound / voices / powerattackvoice.esp / (races names)" so I tried it name the folders from English to Italian for example (Argonian (Italiano) - argon (Italian)) and so the other races.

So after I opened it OBMM and create .BSA with the folders named in Italian.

Ok, I put in the Data folder and open the game, the character remains mute.

I extracted the original folders to see how the races were called in Italian and they were right but as I said the character remains mute.

I have seen entries in Italian I have tried to see the original voice and the voice of the mod if they were identical so I could change the name and put it correctly, but there are a lot and I do not understand and fear of ruining the game wrong.

How can I fix?

EDIT: have read carefully now as I understand it, I think I was wrong..

In no way do I open the "Oblivion and Oblivion Voice1.bsa Voice2.bsa" but "Oblivion.esm"?

Repost from your other thread, as you told me to use this one:

You might want to give this page a read:

http://www.hwupgrade.it/forum/showthread.php?t=1967454

It's from the creators of the translation pack you linked and is in some paragraphs basically telling the same I told you in your other thread, but in Italian. And it's covering far more than I did. Maybe this will help solving some issues?

I also had a closer look into the translated PowerAttack Voice Mod from the page you linked and it's not a translation of the voices, only a translated plugin (ESP), just telling so we're not confusing things here.

This page is also talking of some little compatibility plugin they call "RaceNameITAtoENG.esp", which "could" change it so the English folder names can remain or something (or maybe it's only translating the display names of the races in the selection menu or dialogues?), but I don't understand Italian, so this page can definitely explain it better than I what this is all about. It should also be a good place to ask around, as they seem to know what they're doing and they are Italian.
