eric31415
Did you first install disc one only, start a new game, make a savegame, exit and then install disc two? Failure to install this way might cause this crash, since Shivering Isles makes changes to Oblivion's ini file but the game doesn't generate said ini file until you run the game and save once. I think this may be the problem, since i see that your game version is 1.2.0.416. That's the latest patch, and is installed with disc two. Try just unchecking the Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine esp's in the "data" option. See if you can run the game then. If you can, make a save then exit. You should be able to reactivate Si and KotN now. I have never purposely botched an install just to see if this would work, but it's a lot easier than reinstalling the game (which is probably your only other option), so it's worth a shot. If th game crashes after reactivating SI, just delete the ini file in Documents/My Games/Oblivion and run the game again. If you do end up reinstalling, follow bben's reinstall procedure. It's also possible that your system just can't cut it, post your specs. Edited September 20, 2011 by eric31415
