PyFFI Optimization in Linux

I'm trying to optimize the nifs in my Oblivion-Meshes.bsa with PyFFI 2.1.9, Python 2.7.2 and the PyFFi Optimization Kit v7 in Win7x64 but somehow python just keeps spawning runaway processes that eats up into my RAM 'til it brings my laptop to its knees and then fails to complete the optimization. I have successfully optimized smaller batches of nifs like the ones in QTP3R. I was hoping to do the PyFFI optimization of the vanilla nifs in one go, but I think it's too much for my laptop to handle with all the runaway processes.

I'm thinking of another approach to my problem with trying to do the PyFFI optimization in Linux since my laptop has a copy of Ubuntu on it. I'm hoping that python in Linux would be more stable than the one I'm using in Win7.

I'm no Linux expert and I think I'll need to translate the batch files in PyFFI Optimization Kit to unix shell scripts to use them. I think I could do that with a little experimentation but I'm hoping that there is someone else here who might have been successful in what I'm trying to accomplish. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
