Oh yeah, and for energy, personally I use my own Blaster Prototype.

Powerful and balanced versions available, as well as single or two-hand, and 3 bolt colours to fit the SW canon. Sorta balancing factor: although technically the blaster has high range, the bolt really is as slow as in Star Wars, so against moving targets and beyond 100-200 ft, only VATS really works :P

Well, I was using your prototype for a while and stopped because of unlimited ammo. Felt as if I was kinda cheating. Yes, I do, but just a little... You know... visiting the Apocalypse Armory test cell and grabbing a couple hundred of EMP shotgun shells, because all you find in containers and on the meat (i.e. opponents, heheh) is a handful with which you couldn't even defeat a Mr. Handy.

 

BUT, you know what, my friend?

 

Your Prototype comes with unlimited ammo, and I'll use it as such. That's definitely no cheating.

As for Vladimir, I will use it also. A single-round gun, but a BOOMificable one also, eh? Will give it a try.

It's both high-powered and good looking.

 

As for scoped energy weapons: Well, that's a lot more difficult.

 

Nevertheless I suppose you could try this mod.

 

Yes, I know that it adds a whole lot more then just some gun, but both the gun and the armor are nice enough to be recommended.

And yea, will try the Finger of God... Well, you know, I'm.. just a bit... kinda traditionalist when about guns. Many of the guns I use are black, gun metal, or metallic. But hey, why not? Goldfinger had one, right? Will use it.

I've been kinda thinking of a blaster that uses ammo for a while. I just can't seem to come up with a really good concept and textures. I mean I do have an idea, heck, I had it for a long time, but it just doesn't seem to end up just right. You know what I mean?

Did you ever managed to get a hold of the book of Earache mod? You'll find some really good looking guns in that mod. Unfortunately though, it's no longer available here. :confused:

Whoa, does the Finger of God require XCalibr? I don't really use XCalibr, only Calibr. As for the book of Earache, yes, I had it say a year ago, when it was still obtainable here. But the installation instructions was too complicated for me and - of course - I screwed up all my Megaton interior (furniture) textures and had to reinstall the game. I kept my distance from that mod ever since. I even thought I'ma whack myself on the head with my mom's rolling pin, but didn't... yet.

Oh, boy, I think I'ma stop searching for new guns after this one... The author is the guy that created the Ghost mod. Don't let the "modder's resource" stuff deter you, there ARE guns, dozens of them, shooting and looking... where's the "jaw falls through the floor" smiley?
