Stop the Guards defending the Player

Hi :)

As the title suggests, I need the guards to sack up and turn a blind eye.

This is because I have set up an NPC to hunt down the player, but then when he finds the player any nearby guards jump in to the fight.

 

The hunter is in every guard faction, is in the "Friend of the Imperial Legion Faction" and is not flagged as "Evil" in any way. When him and the guards fought each other, they each had a disposition of 100 to each other. The hunter had no bounty and seemingly has no reason to be stopped by guards - if anything he should be helped by the authorites.

The question is: Why do the guards intervene if they have no reason to and how can it be prevented?

 

 

On a side note: How can I make the hunter track down the player a little faster? He is spawned in the imperial city and takes 2 game hours to find me when I stand in the next room. I can teleport him to the city last visited by the player, but it still takes a long time.

It was done during the Dark Brotherhood quest to

 

kill one of the Brotherhood's Silencers, a Khajiit

who, according to the briefing, paid off the guards to not interfere. I suggest looking at the factions in that quest.

At the start of the quest the player is placed in the faction DarkBrotherhoodNoGuards. It has the flag "special combat" ticked, although I'm not sure what it does specifically. It seems to give immunity to the law though.

J'Ghasta already is a part of this faction, so that explains why he is not attacked.

 

I'll add the hunter to this faction, it should fix my problems unless some mod dirt comes up in another mod. I cannot think of any other reason why this particular faction would be edited.

"Special Combat: Allows two members of the faction to hit one another without alerting other faction members, as used in the Blades Training faction. Guards are still being alerted."

 

 

That must be it. Although that last part doesn't make sense.
