CyrusAmell
I was thinking of making a self styled Blademaster in service of the Legion and wanted to find an appropriate armor set. Although I had downloaded the legates armor I wanted to make myself distinct. I came across this armor overhaul of the Legion by Hedszot that would be perfect for a character fighting for the Legion. Thing is, the mod itself is an overhaul and I only wanted one of the armors in it. I have mods that would come in conflict with its implementation you see. Specifically I am interested in this one armor: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/images/41206-3-1301749340.jpg You have to admit that is sick. So I was wondering if there was a way to copy this armor into the game so I could use it there without affecting the legion. Any thoughts? Should I use the Geck and if so how would i go about it? Here is the link to the Legion Armor Overhaul by Hedszot: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=41206
Glenstorm
First of all, get his permission to use the thing in your mod. He explicitly stated that you do so. Secondly, getting the armor off is simple as copying the meshes and textures folder packaged with his mod and creating a new armor pointing towards the mesh (make sure you create one for male and female, even though there are no females in the Legion). The custom meshes are found in meshes/Hedszot folder I think.

And don't worry, I already contacted Hedszot, if he doesn't respond in a month then I can do what I want with his work privately.
billyro
You will need the Fallout New Vegas GECK. I would recommend looking at tutorials about loading data files and stuff before charging ahead and making the mod. After you have got those basics down, you simply go into the armour tab, double click one, change its id to something unique, press ok, ok again, then find it and edit it. Sorry if this is confusing, I just can't be bothered to write a whole tutorial. You should check some of the ones that people have already made.
