Fran V5 and Invisible First Person Animations

I just recently installed Fran's V5 (already had MMM installed) and it worked fine except that some armor textures were missing (people running around with invisible torsos and such). I wasn't sure how to fix that as I had done a manual install and copied everything over very carefully. I ran BOSS and ACV 1.1 and developed another, more serious problem. My sword and all of it's animations in first person mode are invisible. I can see them fine in 3rd person mode (DMC Stylish) and the Thrust animation from DR still shows, but all the vanilla animations are missing. The shield animation for blocking is also invisible.

I'm not sure what I did to break this so badly, but I also don't know where to begin to fix it. I suspect I may need to reinstall some mods, but I don't know which ones (and I certainly don't want to have to do all of them). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds like conflicting first person skeletons. Did Fran's come with a skeleton.nif at Meshes\characters\firstperson? If so you probably overwrote one that a mod had placed there and the two skeletons are incompatible.

Uh oh, looks more like a case of missing skeletons. How did this happen and how on earth do I fix it?

Recent changes I made:

Installed Fran V5

Deactivated UV2

Ran ACV - it's important to note that I didn't start missing animations until after I ran ACV.

I ran into an issue where the female armor was there, but for some reason the male armor didn't get copied into place correctly. What I did was to install into a dummy directory and looked at the files that were there. Found the missing folders and manually copied them into the right locations.
