EvilDeadAsh34
Looks to me like LOD settings are low. What youre seeing is the low-res/non-detailed version of a distant object. Like you said when you get closer it looks fine, that's because you are in the grid that loads up everything in proper detail. You can try adjusting your LOD in the settings. There are also more than a few guides to adjust your fallout .ini's to further increase draw distances. Just remember that if you increase your LOD settings it's going to have a decent impact on performance. I only bring this up because I noticed you weren't using anti-aliasing in your screenshots, if you are having trouble running the game at a good framerate with AA on then you may not want to increase your draw distances. Here are a couple links that could help you. Thanks to @mooncarver for posting them in another thread. http://segmentnext.com/2010/11/02/fallout-new-vegas-tweak-guide/http://www.tweakguides.com/Fallout3_1.html <--- for Fallout 3 but the settings are the same for New Vegas. As always... BACK UP ANY .INI YOU PLAN ON CHANGING! I can't stress that enough. Bad things happen to people who don't back up their ini's . Edit: Here's an app on the NV Nexus that might be easier for you to deal with. luthienanarion
If you do need to revert to the default .ini files and don't have a backup, you can delete the ones you changed and let Steam validate your files.
