J316
On the gmax website, they have a section where you can ask them to make any game compatable with gmax. (I am talking about direct exporting so you dont have to find someone with the actual $3500 program to do it) I was thinking that if enough people voted for Morrowind, then thay just might do it!! Think it is a good idea. It is a long shot, but maybe worth a try.Vote here, click on vote for gmax and put Morrowind in the other section please. Thanx :D J316

Luxar
Its for NEW games coming out, I'm pretty sure. They aren't going to go back and make MW compatible with gmax, because that would require at least some amount of change in coding.
Peregrine
For gmax, not Morrowind. Its no different than making an export plugin for 3dsmax, all you'd need is to make gmax able to save in .nif format. But I agree, the game's so old that unless there was a huge demand for it, I doubt we'll ever see it.
J316
I thought it was worth a try. They have a list of old games in the voting place, its a very long shot, but it would be fantastice if it happened.
Akrid
Does anyother game really have the modding masses morrowind does? I would think that morrowind should be one of the first things they make compatable. Also does anyone know if any other games use nif files or is that a morrowind thing only? That could help us. And then theres getting morrowind to ask them, they would do it then. We need sombody important to send a message to the makers of morrowind and ask them to help with getting a cheap if not free 3D program that exports nif files, they should lke that idea, it only promotes popularity for their game and makes the video game community thrive. Akrid
From Discreet's website (www.discreet.com, I think). Be warned that it does cost quite a bit of money (around 2-3 thousand dollars, unless you are a student). If you still want to buy it, get v4, or v5, as 6 will not work with the nif exporter. This is some info concerning 3Dstudiomax I got from the Morrowind forum that one of their moderators posted. You see 3Dstudio and just about any other nif exporting 3D model program are out of reach for most so without Gmax or somthing, mod's are for the most part are going come slow or/and dull with the same old nif's. The existance of a common 3D program for morrowind modders would spur our shizzle (for lack of a better word) If gmax will do it it's worth a try. I'm sure if they get a bigillion votes they'll crack.
