Role-playing, text-based adult mod

So, I've modded oblivion. I've unmodded Oblivion and then re-modded it from scratch. I know how to take x number of mods and use the instruction and directories to combine them into mod y and make them compatible. I've searched high and low, downloaded adult (sex) mods from the simple prostitution system to the Lovers with PK english translation and still haven't quite found the mod I was looking for.

 

I want a sex mod. No, not fap material, just a mod that would allow my character to become romantically involved with say... Ida Vlinorman, or some other random NPC. Have to spend time with her, that kind of thing, and when sex happens... either have it be of the screen-blanking kind that New Vegas featured, or have it be dialogue-based - the game provides actions on the other end, and you choose how the character reacts. Prostitution could still be included, of course, it's just not what I'm looking for, per se.

 

I'm only posting this because I haven't been able to find anything like what I've just described. I've got the Internet for fap material, but I want my character to be able to boogie in-game.

The thing about love/romance, sex, and companionship is they are three different things that people often get confused and end up mix/matching.

romance: A deep connection formed between two people based on common interests, quirks, and appreciations. This is impossible to have without personality, integration, recognition, and time for a bond to develop. So sex mods don't really fit here, and neither do the "romance any NPC mods" because there's no swapping of personality traits or anything when the entire concept of personality, connection, and development are either randomized or non-existent. (this includes the famous situations such as personality/development= showering with gifts, or personality/development = forced development over the course of a linear quest line. For examples of this see most dating sims, and the standard bioware "romance" neither of these are actual romances)

Sex: A biological function used for procreation or pleasure. Often times this is what the 'romance' mods work up to or focus on, when in fact it has very little to do with actual romance.

Companionship: A mutual agreement to spend time together, and keep each other company; also used as a means mutually beneficial loyalty. Basically spending time with someone because you need it is a psychological need for company, or because they serve a purpose. The typical one hunts, the other cooks type arrangement. Like sex this is more a matter of logic, and necessity than actual romance. (THIS is what the bioware romances/ dating sims are)



Enough rambling though, there are mods that fit into each category, and there are mods that fit multiple categories, a list below:

Romance:

The best romance I've seen for Oblivion is Integration: The Stranded Light. It has a very long romance that you develop over time with a certain character. At times she's helpful, at times she's a nuisance, there are developments and personality sharing, revelations and heart to hearts, and yes there is sex which is a fade to black, there's also a "The Witcher"-esque collection thing. Over the course of the romance she gives you many letters, notes, etc. and after you have sex the first time she starts giving you little "sex cards" when you have sex with her at certain times/places so there's also something to appeal to the "yay, nudity!" but it's not too over the top for the more prudish players. All in all the best, and most well rounded virtual romance I've ever seen.

The simyaz mods are also pretty decent:
Tears of a fiend= reincarnation, rediscovering lost love.
ruined tails tale= get a companion, develop into something more, love loss, a second chance, letting go.
Malevolent= Helping someone discover them self and nurturing their growth.
In most of those however the romance comes like secondary, or third.

Vilja is also supposedly pretty good.

Sex:

There's many.... no links though, because of extremely prominent nudity,
sexlivion
estrus
friends and lovers
Best one I've seen is Claudia's Little Secret. It actually has decent characters, stories, and quests, unlike the other sex mods... so much so that there's even a supposed female following of the mod.

As a side note there are mods that have brothels too, like:
Windfall
Integration: The Stranded Light
Gweden Brothel

Companionship:

house wives
goranga dating system
romancing eyja
bladesong

and really just about all of the supposed "romance mods" out there, very few actually manage to succeed in being an actual romance type thing.

Thank you for all of these. I have used Integrations before, but didn't realize that there was a romance within - it's such a big mod, after all. Might have to re-download that one. And based on your classifications, I'd say that romance mods would be more what I'm looking for - and perhaps the companionship mods.

You're right of course, my bad. it was a bad example, and was mostly an example of how real world relationships are skewered by games/mods, and other media.Thus, my earlier ranting about showering with gifts, linear forced plotlines, and bioware. Skyrim's marriage system is essentially the player out adventuring/hunting, while the spouse looks after the house and provides food... At least with Skyrim though, it doesn't discriminate based on sex, but thats mostly due to laziness (ie: your sex mostly just changes your appearance and the pronouns used by NPCs)

 

As for your request, Ruined Tail's Tale involves a male Argonian that you can be friends with, or romance, and have fade-to-black sex with... I think there may have been some differing dialogue based on your sex, but it may have just been kept intentionally vague.

 

I believe the housewives mod may have also included one man

 

Also this mod I believe is a Female player, male NPC romance mod. I never played it, but he also made the Viconia mod which had a lot of detailed sexual flirting, but no visuals.

 

Windfall has a brothel with some males as well as females, but again its a simple payment, then fade-to-black.

 

Oh! How could I forget Sexlivion... The main quest for the sex mod actually did include using sex as a means of... gaining power, or getting control over men... in the beginning, but the last stage of the mod was just having sex with the women at the brothel and satisfying them in order to take it over.... it was pretty weird.

 

Also looking at it now, I guess Goranga's is a dating system based on getting a husband

 

Lastly Slof made a lot of sexual mods aimed at men and overall realism (ie: animals and such with sex organs.).... Her mods can be found on her site here:

Note that its mostly visual stuff, I don't recall her making any animations, quests, and stuff like that.
