kieranbhoy
Well the world "Fallout" means nuclear Radiation "Fallout" in the air which is scary Not to mention what happens in the fallout world, imagine you were a wastelander who was barely armed and there's mutated creatures, raiders, slavers, super mutants, the fact that a building you're under while scavenging could collapse, traps that could kill you,and the scary fact that if you get injured in any way you need to pay money to get cured and of course the radiation. Now tell me that's not scary.
draconix
That's kind of irrelevant. That's like saying the game "Alice" should be a kids game because it's about the story "Through the looking glass." lukertin
As a coherent game universe, NV is better. It had the better story, better characters, and had a more coherent storyline. The majority of the quests and things you could do in NV were related to the overall main theme of the story, in FO3 it was the main quest and then a bunch of random s*** just tacked on to give the player something else to do. The story in FO3 regarding the water purification is also kind of a non-issue: --the entire west coast has been doing fine with water & water purification for almost a century, so who cares about the viability of water plant on the east coast? It's not like drinking dirty water kills you, anyway, so there isn't an actual impetus to care about the main storyline in FO3 at all. FO3 also had huge moments of anachronisms, like...why is an Irishman and a Russian living in the Capital Wasteland some 200 years after the entire world plunged into a nuclear apocalypse? Or why there is roughly 100 raiders for every wastelander in the game? FO3 was also ridiculously easy in comparison to NV, which detracted from the game experience. TheReverendTholomewPlague
Or why there is roughly 100 raiders for every wastelander in the game? Maybe because in a world like Fallout's, it's easier to kill and steal to survive than it is to be an honest person?
ACACE
Fallout 3 has more modding capabilites but New vegas lets you create a fully unique charcter. Fallout 3 is basicly script based to the story. sad how the Vault deweller or the Chosen one are not mentioned that much on Fallout 3 or New Vegas
