NeclordX
Eager for Skyrim, so decided to replay oblivion to kill some time. I already played a warrior (difficulty was just fine but boring to play) and as mage (was lot of fun but I suffered and died a LOT). So I decided to play a custom class, but I don't want to create something and half way reset cause is totally unbalanced and the game results too difficult. For example, once, before playing a mage, I tried to make a customized Battlemage with dummer and I couldn't beat the will-o-wisp for the main quest. I could buy the item he drops, I know, but I belive that if you can't beat a rpg game in normal difficulty means you are doing something wrong with your character. I want to create basically a offensive warrior but with some spell abilities to make the gameplay more varied and fun. Some additional info...I play the GOTY version for ps3, And about my play style...well I tend to go to the melee, running towards the enemy at first sight and throw slashes everywhere then when I see my hp low I run like a b*tch and take some potions. I don't usually trade or repair weapons myslef, I usually use the better equipment I find and sell everything else, I use weapons and armors until are broken then I throw them and get another one (well sometimes I go to shops to repair my fave weapons). You could say I play as a "Berserker", Also, as additional note,,,I don't like orcs race even when I know would be the best class for my play style. This is my idea for my new gameplay, what do you think? NordThe AtronachCombat Strength Speed Conjuration (to summon creatures as bait and get daedric weapons soon and give some variety to the gameplay)Athletics Blade Block Blunt Mysticism (to increase spell absorption) or may be other magic schoolLight Armor
zetenrisiel
If you are looking for smooth playstyle, I would suggest dropping either Blade or Blunt. The problem I have always had is that one of the two lags behind inevitably and then you are forced to either pause your normal play to train it up or be gimped out of one major skill. In place of it I would take Alteration. Conjuration is a good quick way to get a decent mana pool and seeing as how you can dodge spells I find it a bit more practical than mysticism. I know you mentioned you like to run in there, but honestly until you are very high level 5-15% spell absorbtion doesn't do much when you are taking fireballs to the face. here is what I would suggest: (Conjuration) : fast way to increase magic/ good for summoning fast weps. and meat shields (Athletics): good way to close on an enemy caster (Blade/Blunt): whichever you prefer, there seem to be more enchanted blades than hammers or axes from my experience (Block): always useful (Mysticism/Alteration/Restoration): Choose 2 of the 3. as mentioned before I like to sidestep spells and run in for the kill, so a shield spell to cover my back and a strength/speed boost usually helps me there. Of course with your atronach sign you may be going for complete magic invunerability and that might work too, just something I have never tried. (Light armor): pretty standard, but you may want to consider forgoing armor and grabbing some shield-fortified clothing so as no to ruin the speed/magic thing you are going for. With clothing you will be faster and unhindered in your casting and I always seem to find at least one 8% shield garment pretty early on. Just be careful with robes as they cover more than one body part. Anywho that's just my experience. I have always tried to incorporate magic into my characters but when the going gets rough it's usually just more comfortable for me to dodge weave and hack my way to safety, your mileage may vary. Good luck!
Fonger
as a general rule of thumb the 7 major skills should pair with each of the 7 attributesotherwise some major skill will cause problems. however - for more fiendish play . . . choose your skills in reverse -- the ones you don't use -- that way you can control leveling(while having 2 minors per attribute available to get that rather useful +5 with each leveling)
NeclordX
Well, I began the game some hours after create the thread so it's late to make changes. Until now it's going smooth, I'm quite happy with the character created. The only perk I repent is Mysticism cause...I never use it. The worse thing is that it's not the first time that happen's to me, I commited the same mistake three times. I should choose acrobatics or illusion instead. NeclordX
Bit off-topic but I don't want to make a new thread only to ask this. Anyone knows the name of this shirt/armor? I'm talking about the the body. I don't remember that in the game, so probably is a mod, but I would like to know anyway. http://i.imgur.com/DSYbT.jpg Edited October 1, 2011 by NeclordX

NeclordX
after hours of play you ask if its a good idea . . . May be I didn't explain properly (not native english). I created the thread, then some hours later since no one answered I began the game. So when I asked, didn't begin the game yet, but when the first person answered I already have began.
