gamerdude132
Well, I'm VERY OCD. So, when I downloaded the Mannequins mod for F3, I disliked the names given to thee mannequins. So, I went, "Meh. I'll just change the names in the GECK real quick". So, I start up F3 GECK 1.5, set the Mannequin mod as the active file (with the base game, of course), hit "Okay" and... dammit. Now it starts spilling crap about how the mod is too new for the .exe to read. How this is possible, I'm not sure, since I'm made sure that the GECK is fully updated to 1.5 Can someone help me? Xepha537
Ok. So that opened no problem. Might need to check you have the latest Geck. Two files from here: http://geck.bethsoft.com/index.php/Main_Page http://download.zenimax.com/fallout/3/geck/Fallout3_GECK.exehttp://download.zenimax.com/fallout/3/geck/Fallout3_GECK_1.5_Update.exe I don't know if the 2nd file is just a new version or needs the first to be installed first, so I'd just install the first file then the 2nd file to be sure. Not sure what else could be wrong there. ~Xeph'

Xepha537
What FO3 version do you have? Is it fully patched? Looking at the description of the mod it looks like it was released before the game was fully patched. So it (the mod) might be looking for a newer Fallout 3.esm than what you have, regardless of the Geck version (does Geck care what version of the game you have?). Which would say to me, you have an unpatched game? I think I've got that the right way round...

So, no, that sadly isn't the problem. :( DAMN MY OCD! DAMN IT TO HELLLLLL. And, just for extra crap to tell you how annoying it is, I'm working on several different mods right now cleaning up several parts of New Vegas... *Slaps head* Oww... Xepha537
Oh. I'm really not sure then. Does it open in FO3Edit okay? And if it does, are there any error messages? (Not that I'm an expert in FO3Edit error messages, but we may be able to glean something from it).

Else you end up with a Geck that acts up very oddly, or simply causes more problems. Don't forget to update Fo3 to it's last official patch BEFORE installing the GECK.
