Topher1
I say I will go to bed then get sucked in >.< I think that is possibly just an "oiled" up skin texture. I know some custom races come with the ability to make the race shiny. Could also be the added work for photo shop of course.Sorry I am of not too much help. That looks to be Oblivion and I know some races like Chocolate Elves had the option. I figure you probably already read my screw up. I just seen the little tags up top saying Oblivion... yeah sleep is a good thing. Edited September 29, 2011 by Topher1
Ghoulz
I noticed that on some MBP stuff. I think it has something to do with OBGE. Only so much sense you can make out of something that's in Japanese. All I know is that it isn't worth the trouble from what I saw. Also, they're call normal maps *TEXTURE_n.dds*. A particular favorite of mine are from F-INevOblivion skinset. Gives a nice shine, without looking that rubbery..... Just take a set with *_n* and rename it to replace your old ones your race uses(hold on to old ones to be safe).
DrakeTheDragon
It's controlled by the alpha channel of the normalmap texture, to be precise. The more solid it is the more light it reflects. This way you can mark shiny areas in your texture and fine-tune the amount of shine. That's why "missing" normalmaps render you with pitch black meshes, as there is no light reflected at all. LFact
IIRC, Ozmo's HGEC texture pack has 'oiled skin' normal maps.
