micalov
OWB is the best closely followed by Lonesome road, then Honest Hearts, Dead money is rubbish and annoying IMO, the mini DLC released a few days back seems very bad from what ppl have been saying. Handofbane
Have not played any of the big DLC through yet, so no real opinion on them yet. Gun Runner's Arsenal is decent, though. It helps fill a gap on energy weapons early game with modded laser/plasma pistols, and provides a major boost for explosives characters with the new Mad Bomber perk as well as many different new grenades/mines and the 25mm semi-auto grenade launcher. It has some issues as well - compatibility issues with several existing weapon mods, which will hopefully see some updates from those modders providing fixes in the near future. Semi-related question for anyone who has tested - how does the GRA Bozar compare to the CFW Bozar? I have heard some major disappoint with the new GRA version, but not been able to get both at once to compare side-by-side for performance yet. elvinkun
Yeah, Old World Blues is a must, it's good, big, funny and connects quite a few (story)pieces together...Lonesome Road is a good story just as well, plus it's hard topass on the chance to find out who the "other courier" is, right?Honest Hearths is kinda smaller, but it's sort of nostalgic, about religion and surely a change of scenery.Dead Money... Well, not sure, you'll either find it to be very bad, or very good... It's more like some kinds of a freaky puzzle game with timers and exploding collars. But all in all, I'd say getting all those 4 is well worth the money, the other packs that add new items... Up to you, but with all the mods around, not so sure. minngarm
I would recommend OWB if you like the corky morbid stuff. Easily the most well rounded DLC, Followed by Dead money for plot and character development. Lonesome road is good for some development on ullysses but other than that its a hallway DLC and adds nothing else worth mentioning. Then if you want to complete it, or have a fetish for Joshua Graham, as I did before this came out; Get Honest Hearts The storyline is rather dull, and they wasted an amazing character but the area it takes place in is quite lovely and a nice change of environment. Also you can go there at early levels for a decent gun on gun challenge, not to mention to make use of the survival skill. As for the wapon packs, well the pre orders dont do anything but make the game easier at the start, which personally I dont like. As for the weapon pack. Everything in it but for like 2 or 3 new grenades/mines is already in Classic Fallout Weapons and/or Project Nevada So theres no point in paying for something we already have for free. Lonesome road is good for some development on ullysses but other than that its a hallway DLC and adds nothing else worth mentioning. You mean other then an automatic rocket launcher, auto inject stimpaks, an offical portable bed, the ability to rain nuclear fire on the nation or nations of your choosing and the coolest armor piece in the game? As for the wapon packs, well the pre orders dont do anything but make the game easier at the start, which personally I dont like. As for the weapon pack. Everything in it but for like 2 or 3 new grenades/mines is already in Classic Fallout Weapons and/or Project Nevada So theres no point in paying for something we already have for free.Other then the fact that the official weapons are of higher quality and more balanced then any fan generated mod right? Anyway Paladiell get all of them every DLC theyre all with the money. Courier's Stash: 4 sets of armor, 4 unique weapons, a source of unlimited water, and a bunch of other goodies right from the start. All the armor other then the tribal armor look awesome and for only 2 bucks is hard not to be worth it. Gun Runner's Arsenal: Like i said before no fan made mod can achieve the quality of an official DLC. The "bad reports" on this mod are just people getting mad that it conflicts with many of their weapon re-textures and people who have already made a gun included in this mod and dont want everyone to forget about their work. But anyway there isnt much to be said other then Guns Guns And Mo' Guns! adds a lot of fun balanced fire power. Dead Money: This will either frustrate you beyond all imagining or leave you in awe. The Cloud, the mazes, the traps, and the ghost people wear many lesser gamers out but others see the uniqueness of the environment and enjoy the intense survival and story. Also you may consider buying this just to get the vending machines which are incredibly useless. The perks added a good too. Best Challenge Honest Hearts: The story and quests are slow for the most and kinda crap ill be honest(har har) but after all my playthroughs i still havent gotten tired of the environment, the guns, the perks, the craftables, and Joshua Graham. There is a kind of hidden story about Randall Clark you can find in hidden terminal entries quite is about a million times better then the rest of the addon story. Best Environment Old World Blues: You will never stop laughing...ever. Its hilarious and has a satisfying story. It also comes with The Sink which is a very fun base for the player which actually made me uninstall Underground Hideout...Im sorry Dan :ohdear:. I dont wanna spoil but im dont think anyone would ever give this a bad review. Oh and fun weapons and perks and craftables again. Best Characters. Lonesome Road: I havent gotten to the area yet so i cant give a full review but i can say this: If you get any other DLC you will not be able to resist getting this one as its the climax of the DLCs connected story arc. Plus theres the weapons, the coolest armor in the game, the brilliant craftables which im enjoying already and the perks which require all the story DLCs to run. Best Weapons, Best Perks. Also remember that each story DLC raises the level cap by 5 so all in all you should buy them all.

Same with the .357/.44 gatling from OWB. The auto stimpacks and portable beds are nice, as for the missile option, thats rather gray as it can be nice as a symbolic part of the storyline but its also kind of shitty as another OP option against whatever faction you dislike. Other then the fact that the official weapons are of higher quality and more balanced then any fan generated mod right? Actually, I dont know what mods you use, but the ones I have been using from here, are higher quality and far better balanced than anything that has come out in any of the NV+DLCs I've had. Gun Runner's Arsenal: Like i said before no fan made mod can achieve the quality of an official DLC. Also you may consider buying this just to get the vending machines which are incredibly useless. The perks added a good too. Best Challenge Yes its increadibly challenging and amazingly indepth. Old World Blues: You will never stop laughing...ever. Its hilarious and has a satisfying story. I dont wanna spoil but im dont think anyone would ever give this a bad review. Oh and fun weapons and perks and craftables again. Best Characters.Yea OWB, somehow manages to find that perfect balance of humor and sadness it fits in perfectly and doesnt require any stretch of the fallout world lore to believe what happens in it. Also remember that each story DLC raises the level cap by 5 so all in all you should buy them all.Very valid point on the level increases.

As far as the "bad reports", most that I have read have been from players on consoles, not PC, so the idea that it is about "conflicts" or "modders trying not to be forgotten", that is just a load of manure. I do agree that some of the new stuff is a lot of fun, especially the new explosives options, but you need to take those blinders off and remember that we have pretty much all the same tools the developers have to produce new content, and unlike said developers, modders are not restricted by deadlines and "you need to work on this project instead first!"
