First Mod problem

Well yesterday I tried to make a mod. i added the mod to the game and tested it. It all worked out well. Now, I can't see my Geck file or the model i made when i try to upload it to fallout nexus. Also, a follow up question when this question is answered, when i uploadthe geck file that is my mod, would i have to add the custom weapon's Mesh with the file or not? This is my very first mod, so any help wold be apreciated.

well, you should search for the new mesh you created, where you placed it in the game's folder

 

and yeah, you do need to upload the mesh along with the plugin you made via the GECK

I found the mesh but it still doesnt show up when i try to upload the mesh or the Geck file. it has a lock sign next to its name could this be the problem by any chance?

i think i know what your problem is

 

make a folder path for the two files (for example, if the mesh is found in your data\meshes\mymod folder, than make all of these folders, and organize them in the correct path, so that meshes will have mymod inside it)

do so in a location other than your game's folder, so as not to accidentally erase your contents, or upload the entire game, or something like this

than place the files in the appropriate places in these folders

than just make an archive of these folders (rar, 7z, zip etc'), and upload that file
