Shidentora
Hail! I need to increase the damage/range on some of the guns in my mods. So, is editing them in FO3 Edit and mastering them with FO3 Master Update a good idea? Or do I forgo this? Shidentora
hm... Can someone say something, please? Hazy, it's cool to do it. Hazy, don't even think about it, the Godzilla will come and take you away to God knows where. Hazy, if you do this, col Autumn's gonna come to your place and ask you for a spare cogwheel, as his Verrtibird is out of order...
Xepha537
Yeah, FO3Edit is the way to go. I would load up only the mods I want to make changes to and do "Copy as override into.." into a new esp (the originals should then automatically be added as masters to the new esp), so if you need to go back and do further edits you need only load your new esp (the originals will then get dragged in as well). I would do it this way (rather than editing the original mods) so you can better keep track of what edits you've made, as well retaining those edits if you ever re-install/update the original mods. Bear in mind that you will have to remove those changes in your new esp if you ever permanentaly uninstall the original mods (because your new esp would be pointing to a file that is no longer there and give you an instant ctd when you start the game). I don't know what Master Update does... :s ~Xeph'

To be honest, it sounds very complicated, but as the Germans say: "Jeder Anfang ist schwer (Every beginning is hard)" Don't worry, if you hear a gigantic WAOUM!!! from Europe, that's my GECK gone wrong, LOL. Oh, and, as far as I know, the master update frankenstainizes together the total chaos we sometimes make. Definitely not the Master from FO1. Shidentora
OH, boy, I'm not sure if this is a good idea. I better learn everything I know first. Damn curiosity.

Heh. You might find this interesting/useful: Fallout3 Training Manual for FO3Edit . It's quite a powerful tool, but the basics aren't too difficult to pick up (which is pretty much how I use it). Edited October 8, 2011 by Xepha537

Now I'm fiddling with GECK (could start using it a year ago, it's simple). Ever wanted your combat shotgun to have a 20 rds magazine?
