just as it says. i saw it the other day on TV and damn was it a good freaking movie. honestly i wish it was a game so there could be more in depth lore and clues about it. it was a very interesting movie and the premise behind it was definitely interesting.

 

 

*SPOILER*

 

basically these two people wake up out of hibernation/suspended animation on a Spacecraft heading to another planet, they have amnesia. they are the only two up for some reason. as the movie progresses, they find others are awake too and they are being hunted by some form of alien creatures or something. you find out you were sent from Earth to another planet that was found to support life. you then find that Earth no longer exists. it was destroyed, though it is unknown how. the trip itself was to take 123 years. the two that awake are apart of Crew 5, assuming 2 year cycles, they believe they have been asleep for somewhere around 8-10 years, which is normal. you find out that one of the people who were apart of the original flight crew killed the others in his crew because he had Pandorum (a mental disability cause by long deep space flight) and then would wake others up from their hibernation and make them kill and eat each other for his enjoyment....he got bored and put himself back into hibernation, and ended up being one of the two people who were awake at the beginning of the movie. the alien type hunter were a mutation of those who he has sent to hunt each other and eat each other. everyone who has been on the ship (i think it was 36000 coulda been more) had a suppliment put into their blood to help them evolve to adapt to the new planet, those who were awakened basically adapted to the ship...at the end of the movie you find that the ship has long since crashed on the planet and was actually sitting at the bottom of the ocean. the trip was only supposed to take 123 years, however at the end you find out it has been 923 years since the ships departure....

if you read that and havent seen the movie, i suggest you see it (though the movie is better if you dont know all this before hand) and while your watching it, imagine your playing it in a game. you know enough for the movie to work without plot holes and stuff, but this kind of thing warrents a good in depth lore, with clues you find out during the game, intel, computer logs, etc, etc....

 

 

if youve seen the movie, what did you think about it?....and please mark spoilers if you have them, this is a good movie, with some good twists, and i wouldnt wanna ruin it for anyone.

I thought it was pretty decent. It had some moments that managed to surprise me, such as their 'host' who told them some background info, if you know the one I mean.
