Dazaster
Have you loaded a ton of mods only to find your game freezes upon exit? Quite often part of the problem is that old chestnut 'Load Order'. Not so much "where does this go in my order" as "what does this rely on" - for example you load Deadly Reflex 6 in Oblivion and install the NifPatch for it. But in the load order the patch is loading before DR6. Your game loads up and you can play DR6 or whatever. All's well, right? But, when you exit the game, crash. So, how does using these Edit programs help??? Simple. They all load your checked mods in their current order when you start the Edit program, then stop loading if theres a problem. There's an info pane on the right and the last entry is the culprit. And yes, it does tell you where it has to go, e.g. it will tell you to load the NifPatch after DR6. Then close the Edit program, fire up your Mod manager and adjust the order. Close the Mod manager. Run the edit again. If there are more problems, rinse and repeat until the Edit program runs through smoothly. There you go. Hopefully 99% of exit crashes fixed. I recommend doing it every few days if you install a lot of mods regularly.
