evilmonkey329 Posted November 12, 2011 Share Posted November 12, 2011 Skyrim is more based around scotland than vikings in general. what with thanes and jarls, and iron armor looking very 'outlandish' with lots of furs for keeping warm i assume. the technology setback could be due to just not needing anything better, or because of skyrims being surrounded by mountains. forgive me if i have incorrect information here, im basing this on assumption Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
dapdelval Posted November 14, 2011 Author Share Posted November 14, 2011 They have a scimitar... thats all i need. http://cms.elderscrolls.com/sites/default/files/tes/screenshots/OrcNight.jpg sure it looks like it but is a bit to fantasy looking but i bet there will be although almost all weapons seem a lot like fantasy unlike oblivions(atleast from level 1 - 12 that is)but one thing that bugs me is that skyrim looks more primitive hat oblivion and its supposed to be 200 years of diference i just dont get that I think they were going for a viking type feel and the stereotypical viking looks pretty rough and primitive.
