MojaveMike
What's never really been explored in the Fallout lore was the possibility of a Hippie Counter-Culture. While it has been hinted at (ie the graffiti on Hidden Valley bunker), nobody has really done anything with it. I think it's time somebody does. My idea goes that before the war, there was a Hippie commune in Northern Nevada. The owners decided to organize a music festival to raise awareness of there cause. Thousands of Hippies flocked to the commune to see popular Psychedelic musicians. However, in the middle of the festival, the war began. Though the commune wasn't hit directly by missiles, many still died do to radiation. The rest turned into Ghouls. However, the commune was self sufficient, so the Ghoulified Hippies survived for generations in isolation. Eventually new people began joining the commune, but it remained neutral to all outside conflicts. However, both the Legion, and a tribe known as the Yellowclaw are after the commune. That's where the courier comes in.
