archanos
Well, first I have to say im new to this whole forum thing, so if my topic is the wrong place im sorry. But my quesiton was based on the fact that whenever I choose a non-standard race, no matter what they're supposed to look like, they all end totally black (face and body) or a purple face and a blue body. Both are really annoying; I can't focus on sneaking when my character has blue arms! I really want to play with the new races I've downloaded (the shadow elf, the moon elf, and the aeria). If you have any suggestions feel me to send me a message...any tips are welcomed...thanks in advance.

You will find help here for most problems but there are a few things you might consider.1. the skin color is a real problem but it can be helped by finding a MOD or two that will improve things a lot2. consider using a few basic mods. A. inventory MOD. there are several that will list up to about 30-35 lines depending on font size B. Grass MOD this will improve game performance and there are several you can choose from C. Level slowing MOD Many folks will tell you about power leveling but for a really good game experience and being new to using your skills this MOD will just slow the leveling process from 2-5 times slower which will give you more time to use your skills. I use the 5x so you level up five time in the same time frame as one level up the regular leveling version. there are many other MOD's listed on this site that you might want to use depending on the the pc you are using. I like the "Natural Environments"MOD because it makes things look much better. I would strongly recommend you buy and read the chapter on character creation as it will help a lot.Don't give up ....I had to go through about 5 characters before getting the hang of creating a good one. The guide will help a lot also. Well good luck Lawrence
LFact
Sometimes, you didn't install them properly, and it causes 'missing textures' or 'missing meshes'. If you install a custom race MOD and its textures are missing, you can see black or purple face and body instead of proper skin texture..(If meshes are missing, your character can be invisible) So check if you install them properly, and check if there're any missing textures. **Moderator, please move this thread to 'Technical Support' or any other place.
