Anatidaephobia
Hi everybody! I really hope someone can help me with my problem. What happened? FOMM started smooth and gently until yesterday. Yesterday I opened the Package Manager in order to edit some mod descriptions. While I was working the whole programm get stucked suddenly and after a while I forced the programm to close because nothing more happened except for that boring hour glass.Tried to re-start FOMM but only got (and now always getting) an error message called Scan Error("An error occurred while scanning your fomods for new versions. As long as it wasn't to bad, a crash dump will have been saved in...."). I've also re-installed FOMM in different versions but it doesn't work. I'll try to uninstall all mods, FOMM, FOSE so maybe this will work but I'd be glad if someone has some other ideas... Before that happened everything was fine and FO3 was running with all the mods. Now I can't even play ignoring FOMM and start FO3 with the vanilla FO3.exe... Maybe anyone out there can give me some advise please??? Enclosed you'll find a copy of the crashdump.txt: Mittwoch, 12. iFSS
It doesn't say which one - but one of the stored fomods in the mods/ directory (likely in your Fallout 3 directory if you didn't change the path) is corrupt (fomod's are just 7zip's, hence the errors). Delete all the fomod's in there (and in FOMM's Install Info/ directory), then reinstall FOMM. Just to be sure everything's ok, you should run a file system check (chkdisk) on the hard disk that the fomod's were installed to.
