b4ttery
I'm going to say yes, it will be bigger than the Oblivion modding scene.
Valamyr
I think itll be bigger, yeah. The question is: how soon? I'm not sure the toolset will be day one. Once we get it, there are still some basic tools that need to be community-created before the modding scene really takes off. But within a few months Im sure SKSE, SKMM and all that good stuff will be out and people will be used to the engine and the juicy stuff will start coming out. A friend and I joked around saying: Skyrim 11-11-11 BBB, Anime, and Hentai mods 11-18-

Kerghan
The game has more complex systems driving it but that doesn't mean the toolset will be harder to use. It could end up being a lot less clunky than what we're used to. We already know the game uses NIFs for 3d models, so the community should be able to pick up that aspect of modding easily. ShadowscaleB1980
I hope modifying game mechanics is easier, and less tedious...I have a few Ideas for mods involving poisons and the means used to deliver them. Which is an aspect that I felt could have been worked on a bit more than it was in oblivion, they could have made things much more realistic than using one whole bottle on a single arrow - I would prefer it if you could poison more than that ( about 50) then make certain certain enemies vulnerable to certain ingredients used in those poisons e.g warewolves are traditionally known to be affected by silver and monkshood, Vampires are susceptible to garlic and wood , Frost atronachs could be severely weakened by poisons containing fire-salts etc...etc. Then the choice of the poison used could have a tangible effect on gameplay and it would become a tactical decision and make the process of making the poison more involved and put more weight on choosing which poison to use on a particular enemy. ShadowscaleB1980
Hmm yes that could be but I´m worring about the graphics and textures for mods ,will thy look as good as the ones in the game? I dont see why not. Most textures in the game are still low/mid-resolution, optimized for consoles. They wont be very hard to surpass for most modders. actually from what I heard they will be using much higher resolution textures for the PC release - it's the consoles that will have the specially optimized textures
