Request for a proofread of a Settlement Mod Guide, please.

the moment you send a set to any settlement it direct show, even if not there yet

 

will dl your mod and take a look at it, and test sending some 1 to gorski

 

hehehe setler just stay where he is he don't move from your island for some reason, seems your setup is right to at first glance

will check it better later today

kk found out why, you forgot some cells, if you move slowly around the outsides of your island you will see that the cell jump to another, those have not your name, and are not navmeshed and finalized(well they are, but not connected to your island), tats the reason they don't wana leave the island, its not connected to the outside cells, found out when this settler stopped near the dirt stroke, it change cell there and it was not connected/finalize

 

the solution move slowly true the outersides of the island and when you see the cell jump to another look at the name, no name means navmesh(recast will do) it/finalize/give name and proceed till none is left

 

after this the settler showed up at gorski like intended, good change that the provider will work to then(they can't leave the island to)

Ah ok awesome I see that now about the cells, Now the provisioner turns up there haha Thank you. About the navmesh, What would you suggest I link it to? The seabed or do i just do it the edge of the cell?

the moment that you change cell (entering the new cell) will do, there is no need to move further it will simple do the hole cell you in

simple at top of the bar you see a icon called navmesh mode, click it it will show the navmesh, then under navmesh/generation, hit recast based generation, after it don finalize it

it will connect auto wats needed

when you pick the recast based you don't have to change anything(everything should be vinked anyway) hit ok, on the balk that pop up when you hit navmesh mode there is a button (lil vink) hit that 1 when the nav is done, you always need to finalize a cell after navmesh, otherwise npc's will not use it

Hi dude, Im sorry to be asking again but when I did recast based generation is messed up the navmesh underneath the barge is this a problem, Was I supposed to select the parts I wanted navmeshed by selecting each of the vertices or have I missed something else? Again sorry for all the questions I hope you dont mind but you seem very knowledgeable and your help has been excellent so far.

nah that don't matter no 1 is going there anyway :laugh: , the only thing tats matter is that the cells are connected, the navmesh on the island will be still intact if you do recast based

 

btw i don't have knowledge i'm just a n00b that still learn everyday :laugh:
