kelticpete
So I had installed some mods like valkerie's face and other mods that affected the meshes and textures of npcs anyway, I hated the "prettied up" version of cait/. I uninstalled every mod that altered people. and I deleted the meshes/textures in the data files that had to do with actors. But cait still looks like a runway model. I cannot figure out how to fix this.
trold
Are you sure you deleted the right stuff in the 'actors' folders?Anything that alters npc faces are in :meshes\actors\character\facegendata\facegeom\fallout4.esm\ textures\actors\character\facecustomization\fallout4.esm\ If the mod used an esp, there could be a subfolder in the same directory as the fallout4.esm folder, with the same name as the esp (e.g. 'cait.esp'.), which would then of course contain the modified meshes/textures. gilead17
I have the same problem.I use the mod "Character of a lady" for Cait. This mod isn't on nexus anymore and the author maybe gone. Now I want to use a new mod for Cait, but no chance.I deleted the old mod, I looked into every possible directory for some forgotten files, I installed a new mod and have it's .esp activebut Cait is still the "old" one. There's nothing left under meshes or textures from the old mod.Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
JonathanOstrus
Are you sure you never used SLM on cait, or the face ripper tool? Both of those cause the save game to have an override that cannot be changed by esp's and is permanent. The only way to "fix" either of those changes is to run SLM again or face ripper and copy a new face in.
Gilibran
Search for one of the first, pre CK, mods that alters Cait. I think it was Loving Cait or Bombshell not sure, it was back in januari i had the same issue. There should be a discription in the forum topic how to change back Cait to her vanilla looks with a downloadable file of the original Cait to use with faceripper.I'm on mobilephone now so searching topics is very limited, i'll see if i can find it tonight. In the meantime just search Cait in the mods and look at the earlier mods, december/januari for the solution. Found it, this should help you, just need to find the id for Cait: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4611/? http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4611/?tab=4&&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout4%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D4611%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D3503315&pUp=1 That's weird. Have you used the SLM command on her before? She doesn't look much like Scarlet. Here's how you can use Face Ripper to reset her if that was the case:1. Open Face Ripper2. Click on the top "Browse" button3. Load your most recent save4. Type "5647C6" in the top box. There should be 40 00 07 in it that needs to be replaced.5. Click on the "Reset Face" button next to the boxYou should get " Successfully loaded data! " and " DONE! " messages. If that doesn't work, but recycleactor does, you could write down your affinity with her before scrapping her and add the same amount to the newly spawned Curie.1. Enter the console command and click on Curie. ( Get in first person to make sure you don't click elsewhere. )2. getav ca_affinity3. Write down the value4. recycleactor5. modav ca_affinity "the value that you wrote down" http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4611/?
gilead17
Thank you both for your answers.I never used SLM or Face Ripper on Cait. Sounds complicated to get Vanilla Cait back but I'll try :)Hopefully I still can use another mod on her after this.
