Nexus Mod Manager, updated automatically and ruined up my game

So when i went to my mod manager today it had automatically updated to your most recent version and automatically uninstalled all my mods.. now it would not have been that big of a deal, but with mods that change the settlement menu etc.. that require you to use an item in game to uninstall the mod otherwise your menus get messed up.. well since NMM decided to do this all on its own, it disabled any things in my workshop menus except a crafting tab.. I have no way to go back to a save as they all have had these mods installed for over 620+ Hours.. i am forced to start a new fresh game...

Please fix this issue, i went into the settings, and all that was in there, was the option to check for mod updates.. there is no option to not install automatically a new update...

As far as i know it will always tell you if there is a update to NMM with a popup when you open NMM, It will give you the option to install the update or keep the version you have, nothing automatic about the whole update. It will also de-activate the mods (not uninstall) before updating and after updating re-activate them again and nothing should have changed for your saves.

If re-activating was not enough then the only option you have is to try to install all the mods again, not just reactivate, but un-install then re-install, that way everything should be exactly the same, and then try to load one of your saves.

Right that why I am saying is that it did it on its own.. its a bug and I have no idea where to place it as a bug report for it.. ive been using NMM since pretty much when it was first launched and have never had this issue, it usually does give me the update warning but this time it did not, and automatically did it on its own...

I, too, have had multiple problems with NMM since the last update. I have mods that are in NMM that worked before the latest update and now no longer even show up in the game.

Someone needs to look into these problems and see if it can be corrected fast!

The Cait and Piper nude mod no longer works (as a specific) and nothing I do will get it to work.

NMM can't autoupdate, I would really love to add an auto update system sooner or later, but currently the only way

to update NMM is to download and run the installer.

Also NMM can't automatically uninstall mods without the user interaction (eg. the specific functionality in the Tools menu

or the mod migration process, but in FO4 case that's not even possible, since FO4 only works with the new install method).

I can try to help you understand what happened, but I need further info:

Is there anyone else having access to your PC that may have fiddled with your NMM and mods install?

Are the Mods reported as installed in the NMM Mods panel?

Are the plugins active in the NMM plugins panel?

Okay. First if I try to uninstall a mod in NMM it acts as if it did it but when I go out of NMM and then back in all is as it was before the uninstall. Also there are mods that I have installed that never show up in game. The Cait and Piper nude mod is a perfect example; it was working until the latest update to NMM but now it is not. I also have found that if I uninstall a mod in the latest NMM then try to reinstall it NMM balks and won't do it. Lastly, every time I open NMM it wants a password (didn't need this before) but when I put the password in and enter I get a message that says; "|Login error: Cannot reach the Nexus login server. Either your firewall is blocking NMM or the login server is down. My firewall is not blocking NMM and never has, I checked it multiple times.

I am the only one who has access to my PC. That is a guarentee.

So what now?

UPDATE: Now when I go into my game more mods are no longer existant. A few more entries and there will nothing more to play except to start over with a new character and a non-modified game.

Is there any word of a fix for NMM?

Look for an older version. Ideally, the newest version that works. A couple of the newer NMM versions don't work for me as they keep disabling all mods, say my INI file doesn't exist, or have other issues.

I've been using NMM 0.61.21 since the last one was causing issues. I generally don't update software now unless I'm experiencing an issue with the current version or it adds significant functionality (ain't broke / don't fix).
