UnholyBirth
I would like to replace some of the battle music with themes that I found more interesting, but I don't know which songs in the "BTTL" folder to replace. For instance, there are 4 different "Good" folders and the same for "Evil". What triggers which song will play during battle? I need to know which one(s) to remove. And would it be as simple as replacing the file with the new one? Or would I screw anything up? It seems easy enough, but I don't want to ruin anything. bben46
Whatever you do, backup the original music folders first. Then, please remember that most music is copyrighted. What you do with it in your game is your business. But when you feel you absolutely must show off whatever tunes you find that you think are good. Please don't upload any copyrighted music to The Nexus as that is strictly against the rules. Just because you found that music on a free site doesn't mean that it is not copyrighted. Or that some bottom feeding lawyer won't go after The Nexus if you post it here - and guess where we send that lawyer when he threatens a suit? :whistling:
UnholyBirth
Absolutely! This is strictly for myself. :) I just wanted to make sure that I knew what I was doing. But does anyone know which of the files I should replace in order to get my idea to work?
rickerhk
The Media Location Controller for a cell determines what music will be played. http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Fallout_New_Vegas_MusicMusic can be selected depending if a cell is owned by a faction that is enemy, neutral, friend of player. The 'Evil' and 'good' folders are probably for this.
UnholyBirth
Thanks for the information and the link. I can't find an "Audio" folder anywhere in the data for this game though. Is it because I have the Steam version? I tend to mess with things I probably shouldn't, so I really want to make sure I don't screw this up. I would appreciate some help from somebody who has done this before, or I probably will give up. Thanks for your help though. Or, is the window in the screenshots there something from the GECK?... I don't have that so don't know what it looks like. Man, I really am a newbie at this! Edited October 17, 2011 by UnholyBirth

UnholyBirth
Yeah, I found the "Music" folder. But I don't have the GECK nor do I think I have the intelligence to work with it without screwing something up. So I am starting to think that maybe this idea of mine will be something I do not really know how to do. Thanks guys for your time.
