Sheresh
So I have installed the FCOM Convergence pack and love it. I have also added a few of my own mods (Mainly a house). My next task is to get better looking NPC's and characters as the stock ones are just......ugh. I have been combing over the TesNexus site for a few days now and to be honest, the list is just overwhelming for better bodies and faces, hair, hands, feet etc. The problem I keep running into is that so many are incompatible with other player mods or outdated that it's hard to keep track of what works with what. I was curious if anyone knew any good files that work well together or are pretty universal? As in using body mods that are used by most people/modders to make additional mods for? Mainly I am interested in MUCH better looking bodies/faces/eyes and hair for female/male vanilla races as I have no custom races installed. If there are any clothing packs that go along with these that would be even MORE helpful. Edited October 17, 2011 by Sheresh
LFact
- One thing you should remember: Oblivion does not have real 'face' mod. You can grab better textures and custom head meshes, but you have to make the face for yourself. If you want better looking NPCs, you need to tweak each every NPC's faces with Construction Set. (It's quite tedious, but of course, some modders did that)- Another thing: Every cosmetic mod will conflict each other, for they try to edit the same thing - Race. Usually the last loaded one wins, but if something's wrong, none may work well. That's the reason why you need tool like Wrye Bash. Oh, and you cannot assign different body mesh to individual race. This game allows only one type of body per gender(one for male, one for female).

Try these mods Tamriel NPC's revamped (standalone/COBL version) and XEO (though I personally thing XEO is a bit extreme)Also Try beautiful people (though I don't think it affects NPC's) beautiful people + COBL races will give your characters googly eyes. w.r.t body mods, go for Roberts Male v4/v5 for males (I think the UV's for v5 won't be compatible with mods using v4 as a base for body textures) HGEC (recommended because of more variety of clothing mods for it) or Roberts Female for females Links :TNR - http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16843XEO - http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22787 other - http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/totocharacter.html Edited October 17, 2011 by NikhilR
LFact
The latest version of XEO is called XEOSP++. I think it's available at certain Chinese forum, but you may find it somewhere else. (Google search is your friend..) Of course, you may not like NPCs' faces from XEO.
Sheresh
Thanks for all the replies. I actually managed to figure it out after some tinkering and backing up my data folder just incase. I am now using; HGEC FemalesRoberts Male v5Beautiful PeopleRen's Beauty packXenius's custom races. I am much much happier now with the better looking NPC's and my own classes race. (Night Wanderer FTW!) Edited October 17, 2011 by Sheresh

(Night Wanderer FTW!) Note: Beautiful People already incorporated Ren's Beauty Pack. And BP replaces default eye meshes with Elaborate Eye meshes, it can have problem with other cosmetic mod or race mod(Well, if you know how to manipulate resources/plugins, you can avoid it...).
