WiseMan999
I hope I don't annoy people if I ask about the Large Address Aware Patch, I've been installing Oblivion from scratch for the past four hours while browsing the forums only to find that I should have installed this straight off, and to be honest I cannot summon the will to search every thread for my questions. That aside, I have two questions about the LAA. 1) If you use the LAA on the Oblivion loader executable does it matter if: OBSE; OBMM; Wrye Bash and the Construction Set are installed or not? I really don't want to have to re-install again to get the extra 2GB RAM. 2) My computer says I have 3.25 GB RAM free/usable rather than 4GB free - does this matter? Feel free to disapprove of my laziness :)
eric31415
The first time i used the LAA patch, i applied it to a modded game with OBMM, OBSE, and maybe 50 mods. It didn't cause any issues for me, and greatly improved my performance.
AlfredTetzlaff
*snip*2) My computer says I have 3.25 GB RAM free/usable rather than 4GB free - does this matter?*snip* Hi,Looks like you are running a 32bit WIndows, so don't bother with the LAA patch. WIndows won't "give" Oblivion more than 2 Gig anyway ;)Being lazy is ok in your case :)
WiseMan999
I was under the impression that I was 64-bit, I've tried programs that only work on 32-bit and they didn't work, where the 64-bit version did. I have 4GB RAM, it just says I can only use 3.25 GB of it - is this a sign that I'm 32-bit? Windows 7 Ultimate by the way.
