Creation Kit freezes for a couple seconds every time a new object is placed?

Every time I place a new object in a cell, the CK keeps running smoothly for half a second... then freezes for about 2 seconds... then goes back to working perfectly fine. This happens when placing objects directly, duplicating them or pasting them. The single freeze on it's own is a mild inconvenience, but when placing lots of objects it really, really adds up.

Is this just something the CK does for everyone or is it only on my end? My PC seems to be handling everything the CK is throwing at it with ease, so I'm almost 100% sure it's not a hardware problem. I can also alt+scroll through objects without a hitch, it seems to be just placing new instances of objects that causes the freeze.

Question: Are you working in an exterior or an interior? Does it do the same for you if working in the opposite?

But anyways, I get get about a half second freeze out in exteriors myself...but just assumed it was the program calculating placement and object interaction with the cell data. <shrug>

It's happening while working on an interior for me, but it is a pretty large interior (About 4000 total objects more or less atm). I just tried it in a basic test cell and there's no freeze there, so seems likely it has something to do with the large number of total objects already present. This is good to know since I don't intend to make all my cells as large as this one, but I still find it very strange and wish it would go away... everything else is running smooth as butter and the CK isn't even taking up half of my RAM/CPU, even during the freezes :/

Not sure if it's significant, but I did just notice something: The CK is on average using maybe 5-9% of my CPU to operate. When I duplicate an object, the CK CPU usage increases by maybe 50%, but there's an additional process that starts eating a good chunk of CPU as well called "System and compressed memory". All in all, CPU usage during the temporary freeze jumps from ~7% to ~14%.
