Mods don't appear in FOMM

Greetings

 

I hope someone can help.

 

I have downloaded several mods and DLC's for FONV . However only one of the mods actually show up in FOMM, CFWNV , which loads first as per the authors instructions. None of the other mods are on the list. The DLC's are all there. They are all saved to the same file, C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\Data

 

Can anyone tell me how to fix this issue. Specific instructions would be appreciated. I am fairly computer literate but I am new to mods and FOMM.

Lets see...Disk C/Program files/Steam.

 

I also discovered that the crashes were causes by a virus. Im assuming its malware from the way its acting but i have yet to hunt the damn thing down.

sounds like you got UAC infestation

 

that's a gift from Microsoft

 

and its cured by reading the FAQ in the New Vegas Mod Talk Forum

 

then moving steam outside of the accursed program files directory

I don't think it's a UAC problem (had to look that up) as I am running Windows XP SP3. UAC's seem only to effect Vista and Windows 7, at least that's what I've been reading. I have not gotten any UAC prompts.

 

I am only experiencing the rare crash. I do not have any virus or malware as my anti virus scans daily (AVG)
