Infinite load screen for new game

Bit of an odd issue I've got. When I start a new game it'll load infinitely but the odd thing is that about 10-20 seconds in it makes a sound like I've just picked up a chem in the game world and then wont stop loading after that. I've tried uninstalling mods related to items and messed around with LOOT to make sure there isnt a load order issue.

I had the same problem when I recently started a new character. I ended up deactivating all mods in NMM, then verifying files in steam and launching the game in vanilla to get started. Then once I was out of the vault I saved and loaded up all my mods and got rolling ok.

Sounds like the "language bug". Make sure you game is set to English, then go to your Fallout game folder, then into the Video folder. Make sure the following files do NOT look anything but this:

Intro.bk2

Endgame_FEMALE_A.bk2

Endgame_FEMALE_B.bk2

Endgame_MALE_A.bk2

Endgame_MALE_B.bk2

Etc...

 

Look for anything before/after the names that don't fit (make backup of any file before changing the name).

 

Example, if "Intro.bk2" has any thing added to it, English version will not play and "hangs" in perma-loading when the actual intro should play.

I am having this problem, for some reason there is an intro_ru in my Video file. I deleted it, but it doesn't help. What can I do to solve it? Sorry for reviving dead thread. My new game used to work, don't know why it isn't now.
