Dandys
It's not exactly a GECK mod or anything, but I've been looking for the longest time for a way to carry over the inventory of an endgame character into a fresh one, for Fallout 3 or New Vegas. The idea is that you can play through the game and do whatever you want beat the main quest and do the side quests too or skip them and then take all your items with you into a new save where all you have is your previous items - story etc. is reset. It's a mechanic used in a lot of other games that I think would be fascinating to try to add to New Vegas. Can anyone do this or does anyone have insight into this? I haven't even found any save editors that have inventory items so I could do this manually.
DeMocha
I sorta do it but its not a mod. Basically its just using the FNV console to add all the items i put into a .txt via the 'bat' command. Its tedious and means that you achievements are disabled till you exit but alas.... What you could do would be similar to this and alter one of those equipment packs you get from dlc to have items you want rather than whatever it'd normally have.hope that it helps.... not that its something you haven't likely thought of already. Dandys
I've actually thought of using the bat command as well. It would work for half of it (adding the items) but the problem is writing the text file every time. Also I've thought of using the scof command to print the command player.inv to a text file to easily make the list of what to add. Still, it would be best in my opinion to have a program that can do this accurately and efficiently (with keeping conditions, without all the work, etc). Thanks for the idea!
