pink hands

Using lings, which gives an option to select caucasian raider on character creation, it gives me some neon pink hands however. I've tried googling it but can never find an exact answer on it. Anyone know how to fix this?

You are missing a texture. Either double-check your files for that mod, or contact the author.

You need to put some texture files in your data folder. I don't know if you're using custom textures but if you aren't you can simply extract the textures from the BSA and put them in your textures folder.

 

You can use the FO3 Archive Utility to extract the DDS files (textures\characters\raider).

Just went and nabed all the textures in the bsa for textures\characters\male and textures\chracters\raider (as there are no hand textures in lings.) I still have the same issue not sure what im missing.

Did you check if the raider race from lings uses the same folder as regular raiders?

 

Pink hands is a very common issue with custom races when some texture is missing.

 

EDIT have you extracted the following files to your characters folder: handmale_1st_sk.dds, handmale_1st_n.dds and handmale_1st.dds?

hi,

easy, i promise:

Open the bsa of the mod, search where are this 3 files in textures folder:

handfemale

handfemale_n

handfemale_sk

Make a copy of this 3 dds files on your desktop and rename them that way:

handfemale_1st

handfemale_1st_n

handfemale_1st_sk

Place this 3 new files with the one you copied.
