"Mod-unfriendly"?

Yeah, I think the title speaks for itself. I would like to know, how mod-friendly Dark Souls 3 is. Bacause all I see is some reshades, or retextures, but nothing else. For example, is it possible to import a hand-modelled, totally new weapon into the game? Or anything like that. And please, if anyone answers, answer the qeustion itself, don't start a "fight" immediately. Just tell me, even if it's pretty complicated, is it possible or not?
Thanks in advance!

There are retexture mods for this game? Do you have a link? It's possible to extract all 3d models, textures and all audio(dlc soundtrack is already included) and view the models in 3ds Max for example(some meshes they did are really bad -_-). It's really not impossible to create an importer for this game that works similar to DSMODT(very impressive work by the developer I have to admit) but it would be a lot of hard work even with limited results.

How did I miss this? :O Well, I haven't seen any retexture for DS3 yet, I was talking about all three games actually. I know, I know, it didn't sound like that...But really this whole series has suffered from poor mod support. Of course, it's not Elder Scrolls or Fallout, not every game has to be, but it would be nice to add custom character models (especially since the craracter creator isn't...the greatest), new weapons and armor, etc. I'm aware of that, it could cause problems when playing online, but still. It would also keep the game alive for a long time. Look at Skyrim! People are still playing it, thanks to the modding possibilities.

Well, I guess in this case, we must take what we get (like the upcoming DLCs) and be happy with it. Making a mod, to be able to mod? It's too much for me. Well, I'm not surprised, I expected something like this. Thanks for the answer.
