About the execution

Does anybody feel that you being led to your execution means less roleplaying? I mean, if you're being led to an execution, there's more chance you've actually done something wrong. I can't pretend that I simply was at the wrong place at the wrong time ect...

Just pretend you were framed and that the government is evil. Works for me.

Alright, the frame idea is probably the best option. Yet if I want to make up something like "I accidently stole some money, I didn't want to", I can't, they don't do executions for that.

I was about to score with this Dark Elf chick when suddenly some dude put his hand on mah shoulder and was like "THE **** YOU DOING TO MY SISTER?" I saw but a mere glimpse of his fist before everything went black.

I woke up with a bleeding nose, facedown in a pile of Skooma. Then the Imperial Guard knocked on the door...

What always makes me curious is after you escape, why don't they hunt you down? You are an escaped prisoner either way right?

Well, in Oblivion noone really knew you were in there. The only one who actually knows you were a prisoner is Baurus, but he knew the emperor chose you. I guess in Skyrim that you will escape among the panic that ensues during the execution (I'm guessing a dragon attack, and Esbern will help you flee, and noone will notice. OR you will show your unknown Dragonborn skills to drive it off, giving yourself an excuse to be walking free.

What about the guards that originally but you there in the Oblivion prison? When they were doing rounds, did they just see the hole in the wall and be like "Naw thats fine. Move on."

I think they didn't bother to check the cell anymore, since they know you escaped. But ok yeah, it's a tiny story gap.
