Ironman5000 Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 I have downloaded several mesh files that I thought I might be able to use for my Tron themed mod 'A Digital Frontier' but they need UV mapping in either 3DMax or Blender. I only have Blender and very little experience, plus I don't have the time to mess about learning about it right now until I finished teaching myself the basics of scripting, dialogue and quests (I have tutorials and making progress). I'm not worried about using them right now, I could carry on without them and possibly add them when I am confident enough using Blender. If anyone wants to help out by doing whatever needs to be done with these the feel free (no pressure though) to respond or send me a PM. The meshes are mainly from scifi-meshes.com and they are free to use as long as credits are given to the author, sometimes requiring a PM to them. It's easy enough to find the files is you look on the site. I've got a Recognizer, Light Cycles, Light Tank, Hover Car, Sci-Fi architecture and a few other files. I don't know if it's ok to redistribute these by saying "Feel free to keep them for yourself for whatever reason" because I didn't create so i'm not doing, the site is there anyway to browse.
Werne Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 (edited) Having the same problem. I made several models in Google Sketchup, however I don't know a thing about blender so I don't know how to make UV and normal maps. Too bad, I really have some good models. Edited October 22, 2011 by Werne
rjhelms84 Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Send them me, bro. I'll get them UV-mapped for you, so you can use them in your Tron mod.
