Govilku
I'm making a mod and I would like to port some buildings over to Skyrim from Oblivion. I was wondering because Skywin and Skyblivion mods required the original game to be installed.
Perraine
You cannot under any circumstances include assets from another Bugthesda game (or any other publishers games) in your mod without there express permission, and AFAIK Bugthesda has stated flatly and categorically that they will NOT give permission for modders to do so. So the answer would be ... NO you cannot port copyrighted assets from Oblivion for use in a Skyrim mod * * One possible way to ... sidestep ... this prohibition is to NOT include the files, only reference them, so that the end user is required to own the other game, and manually copy/port the files themselves. NexusComa
You can do anything you like as long as it's for personal use. You however can not upload or make public in anyway a mod created with other resources from other games even other Bethesda games.
