Rivinhal Posted June 5, 2016 Share Posted June 5, 2016 So... all of a sudden NMM won't run FO4 at all. Like it doesn't CTD/freeze/etc., it simply refuses to launch the game at all. When I click the "Launch Fallout 4" button, I get the "loading mouse circle" for a moment, but then absolutely nothing happens. I've restarted the program, checked my task manager, etc. to no avail. I honestly can't figure it out. I'm not getting any error messages or anything. It's acting like it should launch, but just... isn't. And it was launching fine before, and I haven't installed any new mods or changed any settings. Actually, I haven't done anything with the game at all... Also, (idk if this matters or not), somehow my version of NMM has suddenly updated to the latest version (I seriously don't remember hitting the "update" prompt when asked). I'm really not certain if that's pertinent, but anyways... Can anyone help me figure this out? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Royhr Posted June 5, 2016 Share Posted June 5, 2016 Have you tried launching the game from Steam or from the FO4.exe to make sure it's not the game itself not running? If it runs ok I'd suggest that you uninstall NMM and then re-install it. You will not lose your mods that are loaded. Numbnumb Posted June 5, 2016 Share Posted June 5, 2016 I tried uninstalling NMM then re-installing but it made no difference. What I believe I found is that the latest version of NMM is putting mods in the wrong area or folder. I am not sure but I think I have received a 'fix' but it doesn't seem to have helped. The 'wrong area' seems to be linked to Far Harbor in some way. It might be coincidence but the problems only started after Far Harbor release. It just won't launch from NMM. So I guess I'll try reinstalling it. EDIT: Okay, so I uninstalled NMM, then re-downloaded and reinstalled the latest version of NMM, and set everything back up. It's working now, (or at least I'm getting the launch prompt now!). So thanks guys. I feel like I kind of should have figured this out on my own (I'm not a total idiot after all), but yeah, for some reason I figured it couldn't be that simple lol.
