I played. Lot of oblivion, and now on FO3 I'm confused with a few things.

-how do inregen health? Water, stipmaks, beds? Where do I find this?

-why is a bed for 1 night 100 dollars?

-is there anywhere to find free beds?

-is megaton the biggest city you get? How big are other cities?

-should I do he main quest or explore like oblivion?

-is there a better camera for front observation of my character?

-how do I turn off the blurr when I get hit? Or a mod for this?

Food, water, stimpacks and beds. Stimpacks and sleep are the only way to fix broken limbs

There are beds to be found but the best way is to get your own house.

Megaton, Rivet City and Tenpenny are all about the same.

I would start the MQ, you can leave it at anytime no problem. I usually take a long pause after I follow it a couple of steps.

Here's a mod that removes the blur on hit: http://www.fallout3n...ile.php?id=3674

Other questions are already answered by csgators.

And also, is it possible to spend hundreds of hrs on fo3 like oblivion without the slightest boredom?

Don't know. I spend most of my time making mods for it so I don't play it that much.

To answer your second post, I personally found that FO3 does get old a lot sooner than Oblivion, but that's just me.

Something to keep in mind -- if you follow the main quest through to the end, that's the end of the game -- the final curtain. You need the add-on Broken Steel (or one of the mods that fixes the ending) to be able to continue with an open-ended game. Of course you don't have to complete the main quest.
