Razthemystic
So Bethesda is pretty much done with the game and will probably start shipping soon. We have all heard a lot about the game over the past months. I was curious of what people thought. Like what are the favorites and what will you hate? And what do you think Bethesda is hiding from us till 11-11-11? Mainly wanting to see if what people thought Skyrim would be back in December is still the same game they see now? jedimembrain
I was happy with just about every change .. The marriage system .. the friendship quests .. the two hand system (one wepon or power in each hand) .. the shouts which will be useable by non mage character allowing more customized tactics for combat .. the graphics are extremely impressive .. the character graphics have won me over (though it seems a large amount of people still like the anime looking mods for oblivion more .. bleh) On the negitive side we lost torso and legs and now only have torso attachments .. we also lost a few minor skills.. more is better with skill options .. thugh I'm very happy they ditched the pointless attributes .. I'm also disappointed that some of the NPCs in towns will be nameless like in fallout .. this might have changed but thats what was discribed back in the podcast. over all they have done many great things and only a few bad things imo .. 10/10 score for bethesda .. now its just a matter of getting my hands on it and seeing how it all feels. Nameless NPCs....talk about filler. Why Bethesda? I hope we still get that 60000 lines of dialogue that was promised...
Lowk
I'm also disappointed that some of the NPCs in towns will be nameless like in fallout .. this might have changed but thats what was discribed back in the podcast. Nameless NPCs....talk about filler. Why Bethesda? I hope we still get that 60000 lines of dialogue that was promised...My guess is they liked the idea from Fallout, and kept it. For the player that leans toward senseless murder, this is great news; all the killin' without the guilt of ending a named person's life! This doesn't really bug me, as long as I don't run into a bunch of clones named "villager." Funny side note: a less-informed preview mentioned finding the body of a "woman named Breton" on the road. Amateurs. This may indicate that the generic NPC's are named by their race.
Violentguy
My biggest gripe is the loss of ability to make spells. Everything else is okay i guess. only one way to find out, though. Edited October 23, 2011 by Violentguy
Razthemystic
Would it be so hard to just call them Hogar and Gruff and George etc?
Iv000
I like every change they made.Though I'm most excited about the new environments. The fall forests look amazing, the mountains, the swamps, they look amazing. I can't wait to explore them all. Also, the characters are beautiful. I especially love the new look of the Khajiit and Argonians.
Razthemystic
I especially love the new look of the Khajiit and Argonians. Yeah all the races look a bit tougher and grittier this time around. Sweet.
Shroudedasylum
Something I disliked about oblivion, everyone was so clean and civilized. The Dunmer in this game remind me of Morrowind's tough SOBs. And the beasties look well, like beasts :P
