weierke
Alright, someone here has to help me choose. I have spent countless hours studying, watching demos, and reading on all the races and classes. I played through Oblivion with mulitple hundred hour files. Now, on November 11th, I have gotten it down to two choices for my FIRST playthrough. I can't pick which one to do first though. They are: High Elf named Gandreld. Dual wield magic, focus on mostly destruction spells, follow the College of Winterhold storyline. OR Wood Elf named Rink. Assassin/Thief, focusing on bows and dual wielding daggers. follow the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild storylines. There are so many pros and cons with each, I just can't choose. Can someone PLEASE help me out?

Roll an Imperial named ROME who goes around with a sword and cuts up fools and flamethrowers noobs in the FACE. And uses capital letters at least TWICE EVERY sentence. (Seriously, THOUGH, capitalize HIS name.)
Cyberote
Yeah why not just make both and when you get tired of spell casting or assassinating people, you just switch to your other character? If I were you though, I'd go with the mage first. The magic in Skyrim looks so awesome!
natelovesyou
First playthrough? Do the Altmer. Although, I'd much rather use a Breton in that build instead of high elf.
hector530
An argonian that murders dunmer at night and swims peacefully on the local pond at day
Odai
So yeah... you like it easy huh? If I were to do it I would be opposite. High elf assassin and a bosmer mage. I like hard stuff like that though.
SickFak
What keeps you from being an assassin/thief/archmage at the same time anyway?
Adrius2
Do a psychotic Khajiit that goes on nightly raids to slay and eat all the chickens in Skyrim. They watch him, you see, the chickens are always watching him. @Sickfak: Roleplaying. I couldn't handle being in the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood in the same time for example... too much contradicting principles... feels very weird. weierke
Thanks, guys, I'll probably just make both right away. Possibly change my mage's race...by the way, what Adrius said made me laugh like hell! Edited October 23, 2011 by weierke
