I can't decide...HELP ME!

This is what I will say to you... the way I like to play is kinda based on Morrowind, but it still works in Oblivion and will work in Skyrim.

I make 4 test characters and situation permitting 5 or 6.

In Morrowind this was a thief, a warrior, a mage, a good character, a bad character, and an outsider. Then using all of my favorite skills I make my dunmer and play all of the quests and the main quest. For combat practices I used the arena, so I could get used to avoidance combat when sneaking fails... very hard.

So, in Oblivion,

I was an imperial thief. Did the thieves guild, and got used to sneaking, timing, pickpocketing... and all around city life.

Then I made a nord warrior. Did the fighters guild and the arena direct melee.

Then I made an altmer mage. Mages guild and the arena.

In Morrowind my next character was in the legion. Orc "Good" character. Then the Morag Tong as "bad". After playing I realize that these roles were often reversed and mixed. In Oblivion there wasnt a "good" faction, so I skipped to Khajiit Dark Brotherhood.

Finally I made an "outsider". An argonian that lives in caves and does daedric quests. Never sell stuff, just live off the land and your resources ( alchemy, smithing and everything needed for basic survival without city contact). This character is often very frustrating, but the most interesting. You find that you get very creative, and you find that you dont really ever need cities if you know what you need and what you are capable of. The perfect mix of combat, stealth and magic, but you dont do any quests to really test your character.

My next playthrough I do everything. Beggar, Thief, Warrior, King

@Sickfak: Roleplaying. I couldn't handle being in the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood in the same time for example... too much contradicting principles... feels very weird.

Ah yes, that... I understand. That's why I'll be in thieves guild first, then my character's heart is gonna turn black > dark brotherhood

It always happens to me when I'm incredibly immersed in a good open world RPG. Well Oblivion... unfortunately didn't find another game to immerse and consume me as much as Oblivion did in it's time :( Gods I was craving for a TES game for years now, can't believe it's almost here :ohdear:

My characters tend to turn "evil/dark/a**hole" over time, it's inevitable and I love it. Sometimes it's the other way around, but mostly it's being "decent/lesser evil" (my characters are never really GOOD good, not goodie old doers and s***) into very "evil/dark"... I remember my first (real, not tryouts) play-through, it took at least a month of summer 2006. Ah... good times. Was all stealthy and thieves guild all the way... then it wasn't enough for me anymore and my character went dark... It happened so... naturally.
