Renocide
Hello, I've been having problems with Fallout 3. First I started off by installing custom guns, the first one I installed I can't find the download page, It Is a Glock 19. I tried finding the page but couldn't. Anywho, It replaces the default 10mm pistol. And now I don't know how to install it. But the texture on the gun is a bit choppy. And it's also shooting Red Error marks. When I shoot the gun, it shoots but, a red error mark appears where I was/shot the gun at the time. I can basically shoot a million error marks, and It's annoying. So than I got another custom gun a SCAR-L which does the same thing, so I installed CALIBR thinking I needed the mod and that was the problem. I still shoot red error marks. Please help me. -Renocide
TheReverendTholomewPlague
OK, make sure the 2 folders that come with the .esp file ('meshes', 'textures' and maybe 'sound') also go into C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\Data\ Also, READ THE README!! That is all.
Renocide
I still don't understand what my problem is. And what you mentioned above will not help, I've already done those things. I really need an Answer. I know how TO INSTALL A mod. I don't need that to be told here. I need to know how to fix the red error mark bullets, I never even said the gun was a red error mark. BlackRampage
Whoa. Take it easy pal. He's only trying to help. The reason why he asked if you installed it to the right folder is because the problem you described is often caused by not installing it to the right folder(s). Do you have / did you enable ArchiveInvalidation
Renocide
Actually yes, I installed It with Fallout Mod Manager. Which should've installed it right.
BlackRampage
Actually yes, I installed It with Fallout Mod Manager. Which should've installed it right.Ironically that might just be exactly what the problem is. Why? Not all mod authors give the folders that should be installed appropriate names, so you cannot blindly assume that FoMM will install it correctly. My recommendation: Un-install the mod with FoMM, then Re-install it the old fashioned (copy & paste) way and see if that works.
