Stratomunchkin
Hey guys, I've been working on my WIP over the weekend. Unfortunately, I did so without a PC on which a useful savegame to playtest it was located. I added a whole bunch of stuff - most of it static, but also some NPCs - and trying it out now only causes the game to freeze once I'm close to a certain part of Primm. Before you ask: it's not a compabilitry issue with other mods. The freeze happens regardless of whether I'm using mods or just the vanilla version & my WIP. I'd be really grateful if some of you could help me figure out what went wrong with it. I can send you the file per email. It's just 360 kb. Thanks in advance! davidlallen
Presumably the problem is due to something you added / deleted / changed, near Primm. It may be a change you made by accident, such as a group selection in geck when you thought only one thing was selected. If you look in fnvedit, you can see what you changed in that area. Then you can delete your changes in fnvedit and back up to a point where the game doesn't freeze. I am not sure there is any more efficient way to do it. I deleted him and it runs stable again. I made a lot of changes over the weekend, most w/regards to adding NPCs that weren't really fully done. I suppose there was some kind of conflict there. Lesson learned: do each NPC indivdually, check each step. Thanks for pointing me towards FNVedit. Sounds like that definitevly something worth some attention.
