Seems like you've set the wrong path to the DAI installation. It should look something like this: C:\Spiele\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\

Or your Inquisition folders are copy-protected.

Hello Ashesofthewind,

I had the same error and I believe (not positive) I ended up unchecking a box in the folder properties. Go to the Dragon Age Inquistion\update\ folder and find your "Patch" folder then open properties. On the general tab is Attributes: Read Only that will have a blacked out square. Uncheck it then close it. BE AWARE properties will always open with the default setting of "Read Only" even though you changed them. Also, I had to right click and run as administrator with the ModManger to avoid other little errors.

The other thing I ran into was Mod Manager hanging during merge. This turned out to be the DLC's I had installed. I have the GOTY edition and installed everything that went with it. Well that was a "6 month waste of time searching" mistake. ModManger supports canned answer is to follow the troubleshooting instructions which I had along with reinstalling. I had the same problem on two computers along with both Windows 7 and Windows 10.

I was first hanging on Loctext en.toc and es.toc (again not sure exact name of file). I googled this and many had copied the same files from the locfacefx folder and replaced the ones in the loctext folder. This worked for me.

I then hanged on win32/da3_mp2/creatures/creature_mp2_dragonling_ice/ss_empty_placeholder_3739795872/en_facefx_following_win32. At this point, I could not find anything other than questions posted in blogs and ModManager support has yet to answer any questions I posted three months ago.

The problem there was I had to much installed. So I deleted everything in my "Update" folder and downloaded just the main game, Trespasser, The Descent, The Black Emporium, Jaws of Hakkon, and Deluxe Content. Then it ran fine.

After I had all my mods that I wanted then I reinstalled the below list of DLC's. I really don't know if one or all of them was the problem and I really don't have an interest in taking the time to find out.

Spoils of the Qunari

Spoils of the Avvar

Flames of the Inquisition Weapons

Flames of the Armored Mount

Flames of the Inquisition Armor

This is the list of what I did not reinstall.

Dragonslayer Multiplayer Expansion

Destruction Multiplayer Expansion

I hope this helps. I am trying to get the word out there because Mod manager forums will not allow my post of what fixed it. I don't know why because I was not rude or an idiot but for some reason who ever is administering the site is not allowing the fix to post.

These are many of the same problems I'm having and I tried all of the things you did, at first I kept getting the same error after replacing the loctext files, and I deleted everything in the update folder as indicated, and for some reason mine still hangs on the dragonling file. Also, I tried to remove the english voiceover from the downloads as well, but even after saying I didn't want to install it, it did anyway. Mine is localized in English, so it felt unnecessary. Either way, I can't get mine to work at all since I updated it :<

I also have not received any answers either :<

Don't know if your still having problems but for me running it as an admin worked to fix my problem it might help with yours as well. If not maybe try what Shalira159 posted on here.

Only very very very old DAI mods come in a format other than .DAImod, and most of those early mods are deprecated and should no longer be used.

Without a list of the problematic mods, though, it's impossible for anyone to provide more specific advice.
