vakusgrey
Hello all,First off I hope I am in the right place. If not please feel free to move me to where I need to be and I will find it. Secondly I am sure the gurus that have the information that I need are tired of answering these questions, but on the off chance I managed to find someone who wasn't here goes. I have tried installing FCOM and TCOM. I THOUGHT they both crapped out on me, BUT I fresh installed and figured out that I had an odd audio codec issue that was easily fixed. After reading the complete descriptions of both of the a fore mentioned mod packs I realized that I do not care for allot of the mods in them. Call me whatever, but I do not want realism, such as Thirst, Hunger, Enhanced Fatigue, Etc. Anyway I had originally planned to keep the number around 20 mods. I am going to use what ever tools/utilities needed to accomplish this. I am not very knowledgeable concerning with these tools, BUT I am a quick learner and follow instructions to the letter. Without anymore rambling or self reporting here are the mods that I would like to get working. **Please tell me if some are incompatible, as I am unaware of all of the mixes that work and do not. I will be, of course, installing UOP, OSIP, & unofficial mods patch (is the last necessary?) SO here are the mods in no specific order at all::deadly reflex , Reneer's Guard Overhaul , TNR , Cities alive at night , Natural Environments , Tamriel Viewable When Distant , Unique Landscapes (does this cripple performance?) , Living Economy , Supreme Magicka OR Mighty Magick ( should I also get Better Scrolls for either?) , keychain , Pack Horse , Quarl's Harvest , MOBS , armamentarium (the complete one) So there they are. I am open, if anyone has some suggestions, to reccomendations of great mods. Just keep in mind that, While I do not mind increasing difficulty, I do not want to deal with thirst, hunger, needed sleep, and so on. I have my reasons. OH i tried just taking out the a fore mentioned parts out of the big mod packs, but kept coming to problems that I could not resolve. Also if someone could let me know of a readme or instructions so I do not drive myself crazy that would also be nice. Thanks again, Vakus.
HeyYou
Check out TESCOSI for some good info on mod installation. (including an FCOM guide.) Never heard of TCOM...... (I live under a rock though.) None of the stuff you don't want is in FCOM. You only need the unofficial mods patch, if you run any of the DLC content. Only install those that you actually have..... :D Natural Environments is a bit buggy. Try All Natural instead. Living economy is outdated, Enhanced economy is the new version. Performance hit for UL mods depends a lot on what hardware you are running on. Same goes for TVWD.
Keirgarth
FCOM, or the more recent unofficial FCOM or uFCOM as it is called should be good for what you want. Try and find all the parts that allow for install through OBMM using omod's if you can. There are a couple of omod info files that you can use to create omod's for a couple of the archives that you will need. When you activate the omod's they will give you options on things to install and this is where you can choose not to have the living economy, and such. As far as magic goes, if you don't mind doing a bit of crafting, then I would suggest Mighty Magic Reborn along with Midas Magic. The 2 together will change how magic works a little and give you tons of new spells to mess around with once you craft them. I use All Natural for the weather and being able to look outside from inside a building. I also use Immersive interiors, Better Cities full version and Better Clocks for Better Cities. Better Cities will make the Cities of Tamriel a lot more interesting to look at, and you will have an option to have open cities as well, if your system can stand the performance hit. If you are going to go with Deadly Reflexes, then I would suggest DR5 instead of DR6 as there are a few that have issues with DR6 right now. TNR all races, keychain and Armamentarium complete are each very nice and work well with the other mods. You might also look into Bob's Armory. To get all these things working, you are going to want to have OBSE 2.0, OBMM, BOSS and Wrye Bash installed. Use OBMM to install omods, BOSS to sort and Wrye Bash to get them all working together. Install 1 or maybe a couple of mods at a time and play test to be sure that everything is working as desired. I would suggest running around Imperial City to see if there are any missing meshes/textures that might show up. Make a good save and then load a couple more of the mods. bben46
I am locking this one as you already have an identical topic. Please stick to one topic for a single problem. I'm not deleting it as there are several replies here already. Making multiple topics for the same thing leads to confusion when someone finds them selves replying to the same question in several different places. It also make more work for the staff, which we don't like.Bben46, Moderator
